HIKING HINCHINBROOK ISLAND
Your journey begins with an island transfer to the breathtaking Ramsay Bay, which will be your first glimpse of Hinchinbrook’s wild east coast.
Wander the untouched shoreline beneath the rugged heights of Mount Bowen, North Queensland’s third tallest peak. Then, take on the climb to Nina Peak, where sweeping views over Ramsay Bay and Missionary Bay reward every step of the adventure.
THORSBORNE TRAIL HIKE
To truly experience the Thorsborne Trail, allow at least four days and three nights on the island. Along the way, you’ll navigate winding mangrove forests, climb rugged heath-covered peaks, cross tranquil melaleuca swamps, stroll pristine beaches, and immerse yourself in lush tropical rainforest.
Access is limited to preserve the untouched wilderness. Permits must be secured in advance through Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), with only 40 hikers permitted on the trail at any one time. Group sizes are capped at six, ensuring a remote and intimate adventure
